ThiEYE T5e WiFi 4K - real 4K from a cheap camera?
If you’ve read my camera testimonials, you know I strongly doubt that a cheap camera can really take 4K shots without any tricks or magic. The ThiEYE T5e WiFi 4K, on the other hand, can really do that, though it's priced above $ 100, but it doesn't bring it closer to GoPro, for example.
What do I base real 4K on? That the camera is described to have an Ambarella A12 processor and a Sony IMX117 sensor. The Ambrella A12 should be known to be used by GoPro cameras, for example, which is a pretty good testimonial, as is the Sony IMX117, which is actually physically capable of 4K resolution, no interpolation and no similar dexterity. If these data are true, we are faced with a GoPro in terms of proci and sensor. True, in addition to these, there are many other components, not to mention the optics.
The ThiEYE T5e WiFi 4K has all sorts of extras anyway, though, these extras are already on the entry level these days. I am thinking, for example, of the built-in image stabilizer, which allows us to take beautiful, shake-free shots.
The camera can also capture Time Laps and Slow Motion videos. You may want to check out the list of supported resolutions and image updates, where you will find a 1920 × 1080/120 FPS in NTSC and 100 FPS in PAL mode. These values are very convincing, showing that the camera has really strong hardware. Extras include Wi-Fi, which allows you to remotely control the camera or watch the broadcast image on your phone if you feel like it.
I’ve left the list of supported resolutions at the end, whoever digs into the topic a bit, I suspect you’ll find it interesting, and whoever is simply looking for a good camera won’t deal with it, and just click the link below! To date, I have tried to select products that can also be purchased from a European warehouse, so there is no need to pay customs duties or VAT on them.
