Test recommendation: gigantic and 1300 Mhz

We guess the Polish computer site PCLab, like TweakPC, is not very popular among our readers, but we are sure that it will be added to the bookmarks bar for some readers after the news.

Test recommendation: gigantic and 1300 Mhz

PCLab has examined no less than 104 DirectX 11-capable graphics cards. The list of test programs is not very long (3DMark 11, Colin McRae: DiRT3, Bulletstorm, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings), but the measurement also covered consumption, temperature, and cooling noise emissions. The performance gains from overdrive over two games were also examined. In conclusion, an interesting addition and a comment. The mega test covers exactly 160 pages and the list of members is not the last sight.

The latest member of the XFX Black Edition series is an HD 7970 video card. The controller's Tahiti XT codenamed graphics processor operates at 1000 MHz and is cooled by 2 80 mm fans. For TweakPC testers, this proved to be little, so they didn’t even stop at 1300 MHz after the software power-up. Acceleration can occasionally reach 20 percent, bringing the performance of the dual-processor HD 6990.
