The awards for the 48-hour Linux Programming Championship were presented
The sponsors of the competition presented the prizes to the winners of the 48-hour IBM Software Programming Championships as part of a ceremonial awards ceremony, followed by a humorous presentation, dinner and informal conversation.
The fifth programming competition for university and college students took place on November 2007, 23 from 14 pm to 25 pm on November 14 at XNUMX pm in the Infopark of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics.
Teams from the Károly Eszterházy College in Eger, the Széchenyi István College in Győr, the University of Debrecen, the University of Szeged, the Gábor Dénes College and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics took part in the competition.
The main sponsor of the "Linux48" IBM programming competition series is Avnet Technology Solutions Kft., Other sponsors are R&R Software Zrt., AAM Technologies Kft., T-Logic Kft., Ingram Micro Magyarország, Dension Kft. And Budapesti Műszaki and the University of Economics. In addition, Il Treno and Coca-Cola Beverages Hungary provide student care. Ltd. and Heineken Hungária Nyrt.
The total prize money of the 48-hour programming tournament was almost HUF 2 million. Members of the first place team got richer with a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop, while members of the second and third teams received a PDA as a gift. For his outstanding work, two teams received an Il Treno dinner voucher, while the special award for best design was a microcontroller development kit. The most successful preparatory teacher received a book award.
