Super fast mobilnet on the Budapest metros

Vodafone Hungary will provide super-fast mobile internet on the two and three metros from Wednesday, according to the CEO of the Budapest Transport Center, part of making public transport more popular and developing is to make the most modern technology available to passengers.

Dávid Vitézy said at a press conference in Budapest on Wednesday: he is confident that even more people will choose public transport, as people can now listen to music, download videos or read letters and internet portals using mobile internet while traveling.

György Beck, President of Vodafone Hungary, said that the benefits of network development, faster mobile internet and better voice quality can now be enjoyed mainly by their rural customers, but by March 2012 they will be ready for modernization in the capital.

The lightning-fast mobilnet service was implemented in cooperation with Vodafone, China's Huawei Technologies, a supplier of mobile network devices, and the Budapest Transport Center, which is responsible for public transport. The mobile service is available not only at the stations but also in the metro tunnels while traveling on the red and blue metro lines.

From the first weeks of 1, users of the underground will be able to enjoy mobile internet on line 2012.
