The new processor will be a central unit made with 45nm SOI technology, will fit into an AM3 socket, and will be backward compatible with existing AM3 and AM2 + motherboards. The memory controller will of course be integrated, with DDR3 1333 MHz modules. The chip, which is expected to contain 346 mm2 and 904 million transistors, will have a second-level cache of 3 and a third-level cache of 6 MB. in terms of rajels, it is likely to lag behind the current quad-core solutions, as the extra two cores will increase thermal power from the outset.
