Mac OS X 10.6 will be released in September

Apple’s San Francisco conference provided information on when Mac OS X 7, which can be considered a competitor to Windows 10.6, will be released and what new features it will bring.

Mac OS X 10.6, codenamed Snow Leopard, announced at last year’s Worldwide Developers Conference in September this year, Before Windows 7 appear. Apple says Snow Leopard is based on Leopard, but about 10% of it has been left untouched. Installing the new Mac OS X is 45% faster than Windows Vista and takes up 6GB less space. Highlights of Snow Leopard include a 64-bit architecture, built-in Microsoft Exchange 2007 support, less resource-intensive QuickTime X, Safari 4 web browser, Grand Central for multicore processors and OpenCL for programming graphics cards.
