AVADirect logs in with a personal supercomputer
Here's your chance to buy a personal supercomputer!
AVADirect has announced its first personal supercomputer workstation, which can include two 8-core Intel Xeon processors, 192GB of system memory and up to 4 graphics cards. The basis is provided by EVGA Classified SR-X. This is not an ordinary board, as it has two LGA-2011 CPU sockets. Even the base pack is around $ 2635, but after some expansion, that price could multiply. This is exactly how AVADirect envisions an entry-level supercomputer:
- 2 x Xeon E5-2603 quad core CPUs
- 2 Arctic Cooling Freezer i30 CPU coolers
- 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory
- EVGA GeForce GTX 560 video card
- 160 GB Intel 320 SSD
- 65 in one card reader
- DVD writer
- Cooler Master Cosmos II housing
- Thermaltake TR2 RX 850W power supply
- Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
This isn't a bad machine, but if we decide to add another $ 2067 to the above amount, we can expand the system memory to 192 GB and get 2124 EVGA GeForce GTX 4 FTW + 680 GB video cards in the head of 4 American green-bellied heads. If we got the mood for it, then ide click to customize the configuration.
