Entertainment center from Alienware

Alienware has unveiled its home theater PC named Hangar18.

Alienware Hangar18 is compatible with AMD Live! requirements, so a dual-core AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor and an AMD AM2 chipset form the technological basis of the computer.

Hangar18 running Windows Vista Home Premium is fully customizable, with most components replaceable and expandable, so the specifications are informational rather than definitive:

• memory: DDR2 800 MHz, expandable up to 4 GB
• video card:
  • integrated graphics driver: NVIDIA, HDMI output (720p)
  • dedicated graphics driver (optional): NVIDIA, HDMI output (1080p)
• TV tuner: one analog and one HD receiver, but the number can be doubled
• hard drive: 250 GB, 7200 rpm, expandable up to 2 TB

Alienware has already started distributing Hangar18, with a starting price of 1999 dollars, ie about 370 thousand forints.
