Sapphire Radeon X1950 GT

Sapphire Technology was the first to introduce AMD-ATI's latest high-end video card, the Radeon X1950 GT.

Positioned under the X1950 Pro, the technically identical Radeon X1950 GT has an 80 nm bandwidth RV570LE GPU running at 500 MHz, with an effective clock speed of 256 GHz in 256-bit 3 MB GDDR1,2 memory. These values are 75 and 180 MHz, respectively, compared to the X1950 Pro.

For a PCIe x16 interface card that supports native CrossFire mode, it's worth mentioning the two DVIs and TV-out, support for HDCP copy protection, and hardware acceleration for encoding various video formats.

As the X1950 GT is intended by the company as an opponent to the GeForce 7900 GS, pricing will evolve accordingly. AMD-ATI’s salvage suggested retail price of $ 179 is just a few dollars more than the NVIDIA product on the market since September.
