Samsung SGH-P200 UMA phone

Samsung has unveiled its SGH-P200 in Italy.

The essence of UMA is simple: in addition to the GSM radio, the phone also includes a Wi-Fi chip, so when you get close to a hotspot, it automatically switches to the wireless network and handles calls on it. The release of phones that support this started off a bit bumpy, but Samsung took a big step when it introduced the world’s first such phone, the SGH-P200, this week in Italy. The device includes a 1,3 MPixel camera, 220 × 176 display, 80 MB of shared memory, EDGE connectivity; the whole device is 22,5 mm thick. We hope that the phone will soon appear in Hungary as well.
