Samsung Series 7 All-In-One PC: semi-retro, semi-modern

Samsung Series 7 All-In-One PC: semi-retro, semi-modernIt was unveiled last week that Samsung's mid-range / high-end unit will soon be launched in the US, which is not as much, at least as we are used to.

The All-in-one PC market has always been a bit questionable, as it is spectacular and practical, but it has not become a real fashion product, at least not in this country. Regardless, Samsung does not hesitate to design one, the novelty of which is based on its oldness. It doesn't take much imagination to see it, just as if we were dealing with a flat PC from 10-15 years ago, of course in a modern, thin guise. The Series 7 machine has a 16-millimeter "thick" 23-inch display, characterized by a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels, LED backlighting and touch control, and it can be tilted up to 90°.

We have no particular complaints about the specification in connection with the Sandy Bridge-based machine, Core i3 or i5 processor, 6 or 8 GB of memory, 1 TB of storage (7200 RPM), the graphics are provided by Intel's integrated solution. The optical drive is of the ‘slot-in’ type, which is still an elegant solution, and two 4-watt Harman speakers are responsible for the sound. No surprises can be found in the list of standard accessories: 1,3 megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b / g / n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, one USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports are included. The machines will arrive with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed on October 10th.

The base Series 7 configuration with a 2,6 GHz Core i3-2120T CPU and 6GB of RAM costs $ 999, while the model with a 2,7 GHz Core i5-2390T and 8GB of memory costs $ 1199. stores ask for dollars. Both versions come with a wireless keyboard and mouse.
