The Xiaomi MIX 3 comes with hidden cameras without frames
Is the notch era over?
For our part, we strongly hope that the notch popularized by the iPhone X, the sensor island that extends to the top of the screen, will soon come to an end. The not-so-introduced oPPo Find X, perhaps the most beautiful phone of our time, has already received a motor-driven hidden camera, and it looks very much like Huawei and Xiaomi are embarking on a similar path.
The first real picture of the new member of the MIX series appeared in a blog post, which according to the post may debut on store shelves in October. We haven't received any information about the hardware yet, but it would be weird if the Snapdragon 855 didn't play music in it - of course you have to show up for that, but supposedly the first chips are already with the manufacturers - with a lot of memory and even more storage. What is important, however, is that the phone has an extremely thin handle, and you can clearly see that the cameras are brought out by sliding the front panel down. It is not known where the sensors, such as the proximity sensor, will be, but it is likely that they have been hidden in a thin frame.
The slide-out front panel is not a new invention, many years ago, at the beginning of the smartphone age, for example, Nokia also used this method, although there, the goal was to hide the keyboard.
