Playstation 3: Can't install Linux anymore!

Sony has announced on the PlayStation Blog that the next Firmware version 3.21 will make it \ r \ nplease to install Linux OSs.

The update is expected to be released on April 1, from which the "Install Other OS" feature has been removed.

Surprisingly, Sony has no longer allowed the installation of alternative operating systems on PlayStation 2009 Slim consoles, which were launched in September 3. The manufacturer made the decision citing a safety hazard, which he did not elaborate on.

It is certain that the possibility of using Linux gave some freedom to PS3 users, so it was more than a competing Microsoft product, and this may not be a very good move, as the soon-to-be-introduced new management system is already heavily powered by XBox. Tilt the scale tongue to 360 sides.

So whoever wants to keep the OS they have installed should stay with the older Firmware version, which can cause the user to run into restrictions.
For example, games, movies that already require the Firmware, and connection to the PlayStation Network is not possible without it.

Those who are currently using an alternative operating system but want to update their console to the latest Firmware should definitely save their data!
