Playstation 3 prices are expected to fall

There is only one problem: the price drop is too late and too small.

The Nintendo Wii console is a huge success worldwide, while the Xbox 360 owes its popularity to its early launch. So there is a growing urgency for a possible price cut around the PS3 house. According to preliminary information, Sony plans a $ 100 cut in a month or two. However, analysts say that this reduction will not seriously affect the market share of cologne.

Michael L. Savner, an analyst at Bank of America, said Sony made several mistakes with the PS3. Customers are much more price-sensitive than they expected at Sony, yet the built-in Blu-ray reader didn’t provoke mass hysteria. Add to that the lack of an exclusive, pulling game that is missing when the console is introduced with a shovel. The analyst said a reduction of at least $ 200 would be needed for the console to recover from its current position.
