Toshiba has introduced blade smartphones

In addition to the knowledge base of the devices, the indicator mentioned in the title also proves to be correct in relation to their physical dimensions.

Although the "millimetre chase", which was considered more important than anything else in the mobile phone segment a few years ago, has lost some of its importance due to the proliferation of huge displays, some manufacturers are still trying to assert themselves in the fierce market competition by cutting down the thickness of their devices. For example, Toshiba follows this strategy, which immediately took the wraps off two new super-thin mobile phones on the occasion of MWC.

The TG02 can arrive on store shelves with a huge, touch-sensitive display in line with today's current fads: the 4,1-inch, WVGA-resolution panel is said to be capacitive, meaning it supports multi-finger control. Toshiba has not yet commented on the other capabilities of the device, but the thickness of only 9,9 millimeters is already certain.

The K01 device also has similar parameters, but this time the manufacturer has added a full-fledged physical button row to the specification, which is almost entirely identical to its sibling model. Despite the significant change, the physical size has only increased minimally compared to the "little brother", since the thickness of the device is only 12,9 millimeters, which is currently considered unique among QWERTY mobile phones.

It is not yet clear exactly which Windows Mobile operating system Toshiba will be providing the news with, nor is officially confirmed information on the expected purchase price of the devices.
