Partner day on the Danube in Emporium style

However, before we talk about your afternoon experiences, we need to say a few sentences about product presentations. A partner day cannot be complete without a presentation of the distributor’s main manufacturers. This is a completely normal schedule anyway, first the demonstrations, then the free program, and the one who sits through everything can take part in a raffle, where maybe we don't even have to say that we haven't won anything. We would highlight three of the lectures. The longest but perhaps most interesting performance was that of Seagate. It didn't last as long as you'd expect, but it was about something. Not only did we get to know the company and their products, but we also watched a presentation on the proper storage and handling of hard drives, as well as the development, causes and effects of physical damage to disks on the disks and the read / write head.

The second featured talk was about Silicon Power products. The Taiwanese company cannot be said to be old, as they can only look back on a 6-year history, and the number of employees is not high either. Nevertheless, the development of the company cannot be called everyday. Perhaps enough to illustrate this, they entered the market in Japan in 2006, but have now established themselves as market leaders in memory cards. They are already doing well in the Far East and Australia, with the current goal of strengthening European positions and conquering the markets of the US, Russia and South America, among others. Knowing the products of the company (we have quite a few articles about these), these dreams do not even seem impossible. Another interesting fact is that if we buy an xD card sold under the Olympus brand, we will also buy a Silicon Power product, as these cards are also manufactured by them. According to the manufacturer’s own statement, their memory cards are manufactured with a failure rate of just 0,15 percent, which is an outstanding performance in this industry.

Of course, Silicon Power doesn’t just make memory cards. Their products include USB storage devices, SSD drives and memory modules for desktops and laptops.

The third featured brand is GeiL. The distribution of GeiL at Emporium can be called a success story, as the brand is becoming more and more popular in Hungary. This, of course, is no coincidence, as GeiL’s memories go through a serious test one by one before they hit store shelves. Some modules use DBT technology, which is nothing more than a giant test bench where the modules work in 24 degree heat for 70 hours. If no errors are found in the meantime, it is likely that there will be no problem with the module in normal daily use.

GeiL is aimed at almost every segment of users with its products. The portfolio includes everything from serious tuning memories to modules for desktops and laptops. Here it is worth talking about a new GeiL product line, previously unknown in Hungary, which was named Pristine. These modules are particularly reliable pieces, as all modules are tested with DBT technology. Nothing shows reliability better than the fact that the manufacturer and of course the domestic distributor Emporium gives a lifetime guarantee for these products. If that weren’t enough, we’ll even write that GeiL scaled the price of the Pristine series below the price of similar competing products, giving them a price one class lower than what the product would be entitled to based on its quality.

Finally, let’s say a few words about the event. As we wrote above, this was the first time in the life of Emporium Computer, so they were noticeably excited to see if the environment was right and the performances were good. Well, here and now I have to reassure everyone involved, it was good! It’s undeniable that there’s more to refine, but that refinement is the maximum the performances need to touch. The environment, the evening cruise on the Danube was wonderful. The food and drinks were delicious and the venue gave some special charm to the whole event. Anyone who wanted to admire the smoke of free cigars in the illuminated city, who wanted to relax in the cocktail bar, and who didn't have enough, could play poker, Black Jacket or roulette in the downstairs game cave, all for free and prizes. Before I forget, next time there will be poker, the plastic dealer and chips would be next to the professional dealer, because, as I saw, both available decks were already ruined in the first round.

All in all, we can say that we are beyond a quality and extremely cozy afternoon and evening. Congratulations on the organization and the serious success of the company, as well as on the 33rd birthday of the CEO, and thank you for the invitation, we had a great time!
