Pioneer has announced the first 12 × Blu-Ray burner

The pursuit of tempo did not stop with the blue laser-fired discs either.

Next month, Pioneer will launch its brand new BDR-S05J-BK optical drive. The device is a Blu-Ray burner that is the first to provide 12 × write speeds for blue laser discs. The internal unit comes with a SATA interface, of course, 4 MB of buffer, PowerRead and PureRead 2 technologies, and write speeds broken down by disc type as follows: 12 × BD-R / -R DL, 6 × BD-R LTH, 2 × BD-RE / -RE DL, 16 × DVD-R / + R, 8 × DVD-R / + R DL and DVD + RW, 6 × DVD-RW, 5 × DVD-RAM, 40 × CD -R and 24 × CD-RW.

The Pioneer BDR-S05J-BK has already hit its head in Japanese stores, where we have to leave about $ 417 (HUF 77 at today's exchange rate) for it, which can be said to be very peppery.
