The Xiaomi Mijia lamp is eye-friendly and provides adequate brightness for writing and reading.
Xiaomi offers a wide variety of lamps, most of which are made in conjunction with other manufacturers. The new Mijia lamp looks at least as good and can be used at least as well as before, but its price is slightly lower because it doesn’t come with a classic smart feature. That is, this lamp cannot be integrated into a smart home system.
I’m good at using a Xiaomi table lamp made in collaboration with Philips, which is also smart, but honestly, I don’t know when I was last controlled by phone. There is simply no need for it, as it is within arm distance when sitting at a table, making smart functions unnecessary. Because of this, I don't feel like a real shortcoming with the new Mijia lamp either.
So far we’ve talked about what this new lighting doesn’t know, now let’s talk about what it knows. Of course, the light source is LED, which according to the description can do 1200 lumens, its consumption is low, only 8 watts. That’s plenty enough already for us to write or read while sitting at the table. According to the factory description, the manufacturer guarantees that within a radius of 30 centimeters, i.e. within 60 centimeters of direct illumination, there will be 545 lumens, while within a radius of 50 centimeters, i.e. within one meter, there will be 197 lumens.
Behind the absolutely minimalist exterior, there are plenty of angle-adjustable lamps. The hinge at the neck of the luminaire allows the LED luminaire to be rotated 218 degrees vertically or 180 degrees horizontally. Another important feature is that the brightness of the built-in lamp, which is completely free of blue light emissions, can be adjusted in 3 levels. In the area above the LED line, you can adjust the brightness with one button.
The new Xiaomi Mijia lamp is now available for purchase, though it is a novelty, with delivery starting in nearly three weeks. Nevertheless, if you liked it, you should hit it, because the price is only 7300 forints.
