Cheap PC from Dell

Dell has not been famous so far for building specifically cheap PCs. SiS was used by the manufacturer to help create the tiny EC280.

The soul of the machine is provided by the Mini-ITX motherboard based on the SiSM661GX chipset, which includes an Intel Celeron M 400 processor using a 205 MHz PSB. The motherboard handles up to 512 MB of memory. The total power consumption of the small machine is only a maximum of 65 W, which is really small with today’s horror consumption data.

The EC280 may be the right choice for those who are new to computing or want to buy their first computer soon. Hopefully, the price of the machine will also be low enough to provide a suitable alternative for new PC users.
