Cheap player from Creative

From a consumer perspective, the market for portable players already seems saturated, but manufacturers are constantly pouring out more and more new models.

Creative is no exception, as the ZEN MX is also fighting in this segment. The entry-level novelty has pretty much no extra capabilities, yet it can prove to be an excellent choice if price is a more important factor for someone than an extensive set of knowledge. Well, of course, there is no question that the ZEN MX would be too low-cost, its functionality can be called more practical. Accordingly, in addition to MP3, WMA, and JPG files, the device only supports Creative's own format, named CMV; the latter makes it possible to play back movies, so conversion is absolutely necessary before transferring them to the device. The background capacity can be 8 GB or 16 GB, but it is also possible to expand the available storage space with the help of SDHC memory cards purchased later.

The 2,5-inch device with a QVGA resolution display is expected to be available in the first half of May, with purchase prices of around HUF 22 and HUF 32, depending on capacity.
