Archos has created a cheap 8 ”'tablet and 7"' e-reader

Both French products were presented at CeBIT. The tablet runs Android and also beats some Chinese copies in price.

So called the 7ob, the e-reader has an 800 × 480 pixel resolution display, 4GB of flash storage, SD card slot, 802.11 b / g / n WiFi and a mini USB port. You can read 10 hours of PDF or EPUB files or watch 7 hours of video on the battery.

Arnova 8 runs Android 2.1 only. It got a resistive touchscreen, 4GB of storage and a 600MHz Rockchip RK2818 processor. Which means Adobe can’t display content, the 8-inch display is also quite a compromise when browsing, but at least it’s cheap, costing 129 euros for both Archos devices.
