OCZ: the reaper X was introduced
OCZ Technology has come up with a new kind of memory cooling based on the already well-proven technological basis.
With ReaperX HPC-cooled modules, all memory chips are in direct contact with the heat sink, which delivers warm air to the less attractive but more efficient aluminum ribbing.
The new cooling solution debuts for the first time paired with 2GB DDR2 modules: the memories do their thing at 800 MHz, with timing values of 4-4-3-15 at 2,1 volts. Thanks to the EVP, raising the voltage to 2,2 volts does not lead to the loss of the lifetime warranty.
