The part visible through the transparent back plate is a 0,3 millimeter thick aluminum plate on which the sample is created by a milling head of 0,2-0,3 millimeters with CNC milling. This aluminum sheet not only performs design tasks, it also has an effect on thermal conductivity. Of particular interest is the news that the electronics shown below are the real printer circuit board needed to operate the phone. Due to the transparent back cover, the phone has to go through a completely dust-free transport, production and assembly process to ensure that the inside remains clean and dust-free.

The hardware of the phone was more or less already known, but it's worth repeating. The core will be a Snapdragon 855 with an Adreno 640 GPU responsible for graphics. The three rear cameras are 48 + 12 + 16 megapixels, the front is a 24 megapixel selfie camera. The phone's battery has a capacity of 3500 mAh, which can be charged wirelessly with a 20-watt quick charge function. The display will of course be AMOLED, a 19: 9 aspect ratio Samsung panel. An MIUI 9 system based on Android 10 will be installed as an operating system.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition won’t be cheap, just as the Mi 8 had to pay a pretty peppery price for the top model. According to the news, the starting price will be roughly $ 740, so Xiaomi here, Xiaomi there, pretty slowly, year after year we get closer to the $ 1000 psychological limit.
