Intel under a lot of pressure - Can "Ivy Bridge" be introduced sooner?

There is growing pressure on Intel’s neck as ASUSTs, HP, Acer, and Lenovo are all urging processor giants to launch 3rd generation Core CPUs as soon as possible.

As a result, the first show, announced for April 29, has already been brought forward to the 23rd. However, the partners are not satisfied with this either, as they will only be able to launch their products based on the “Ivy Bridge” based on 22-nanometer manufacturing technology in May at the earliest. Certainly, under this tremendous pressure, Intel is trying to alleviate it somewhat by bringing the start closer.

In addition, however, it remains unclear how the availability of these chips will evolve for the market. Competitors are considering two possible variations, one of which is to make the new processors available to everyone at the same time as the official announcement. Another idea is that the 23rd date will only be the introduction, while sales and making it available to the media for writing various tests will start after the 29th date given earlier.

Of course, the biggest interest is around the latest high-end models, the Core i7-3770K and Core i5-3570K, to bring every computer fanatic into a fever. Soon we’ll see if they’re really going to explode as much as the publicity around them.
