Quality and elegant heater from Poland - Aeno AGH0003S test

Although the weather has been playing tricks on us lately, it can still be said that winter is here every year. If it's winter, it's cold, if it's cold, we have to heat it. If possible, we need to heat efficiently, and if possible, with a heater that also looks good. Well, the Aeno AGH0003S is just like that, or even more like that!

I'll be honest, I hadn't heard of Aeno until the domestic distributor asked me if I'd like to try this heater. I looked at the manufacturer's website, and to my great surprise it turned out that it is a company operating in Poland, which designs, develops and manufactures smart household appliances.

Well, that's not what's interesting about this, but the level at which he does it. Looking at the portfolio, this company could be American, Chinese or any larger and more developed country, because the standard is in no way inferior to that of the big market-leading manufacturers.

It is probably because of this that it is today aeno brand, we can already run in 26 countries, and a service network is also available in these countries, so warranty repairs are not an insurmountable task either.

So if it is aeno the manufacturer, then today's article could include a robot vacuum cleaner, juicer, smoothie, grill, air purifier or even a smart toothbrush, but, as the title suggests, I will present a heater, not just any kind, but an efficient, smart and beautiful one.

The smartness of the heater lies in the phone application, and nothing shows its beauty better than this year's award by the renowned reddot awards prize, which has been rewarding its outstanding design quality for decades. Perhaps I don't need to say that this award is really only given to those who put something on the table.

Let's turn to the main topic of the article, the Aeno AGH0003S heater!

Expect a fairly large and relatively heavy package of around 10 kilos. The box arrived with serious impact protection, which is no wonder knowing the device inside. Beauty is something

Quality and elegant heater from Poland - Aeno AGH0003S test 2 involves vulnerability.

Opening the box, we find two wall brackets, two legs, four aluminum screws, a very detailed description for installation and installation, and of course we also find the heater itself.

The consoles and legs are made of sandblasted matt, high-quality and very attractive aluminum. In this case, the term creations is not an exaggeration, because the design has already started here. The legs and, if you were to mount the heater on the wall, the brackets are attached to the panel with two large aluminum screws each.

Returning to vulnerability, it is not dangerous, but the device is definitely more vulnerable than a simple aluminum or cast iron heater, because Aeno's machine is made of tempered glass. That is, to be exact, two thick tempered glass sheets and the infrared heater placed between them.

The design is beneficial for several reasons. The first is the most obvious, that it looks great. The second is that it is very thin, that is, it will not be some big, bulky radiator that will stand next to the wall or hang on the wall. The third is that we can not only set it on the legs, but also mount it on the wall. It can be installed lying down, or even in an upright position, or even screwed to the ceiling, although in this case this option must be enabled in the application. The fourth reason is efficiency, thanks to infrared heating.

Well, what is infrared heating, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using it?

Infrared heating is a modern heating solution that heats your environment using infrared radiation. The operating principle of the system is similar to the thermal energy emitted by the Sun: infrared waves directly heat objects and surfaces, not the air. In this way, the heat is quickly and evenly distributed in the space. Infrared heating panels are generally easy to install and do not require special piping or a complex system.

One of the clear advantages of the solution is that it is energetically efficient, meaning that infrared heating generally uses less energy than conventional heating systems, thereby reducing energy consumption and costs.

Fast heating is also mentioned as an advantage, because the infrared radiation heats the room quickly and evenly. Infrared heating is also healthier than most traditional heating solutions, because it does not dry out the air or circulate dust, which is especially beneficial for allergy sufferers.

And lastly, there is the aesthetics. Infrared heaters take up less space, and smaller equipment can be made using them, as with conventional heaters with the same performance, but with heating fibers and fans. It is easier to give infrared panels a style, so we can find a suitable solution for basically any apartment design or interior.

Regarding AENO's infra, it cannot be described enough that it is very beautiful. Such a true Scandinavian style, infinitely simplified form, yet every single detail is terribly elegant. The chamfering of the edge of the tempered glass, the curve of the corners, the visible part of the back panel with the buttons and temperature display, and of course the already mentioned legs and consoles. I have a feeling about it, as if every little detail has been polished for weeks and months to make it even more perfect than perfect.

However, the Aeno AGH0003S is not only perfect in terms of form, but also functionally.

As a disadvantage, we can mention that infrared panels are slightly more expensive than traditional equipment, so the initial cost and the construction of the system may be more expensive. It is not a clear disadvantage, but with infrared heating, more time must be spent on planning, because due to the technology, it heats large spaces less evenly than a traditional radiator, so it may be necessary to place several panels in the right places in such larger spaces.

The reason I wrote this is that this disadvantage is not clear, because conventional heating also needs to be planned, the only difference is that with infrared heating, faulty planning will be much more noticeable than with conventional radiators.

Okay, we already know a few things. One is that the Aeno heater looks very good due to the design and the materials used, the other is that due to the technology used, it heats up very efficiently and quickly, it is healthy and, in addition, its energy efficiency is also excellent.

The manufacturer also draws attention to the latter, emphasizing that the efficiency of its heaters is practically 100 percent (99,99 percent), since due to the heating method, the supplied energy is completely converted into heat and heats our room.

There's only one thing left, and that's cleverness!

The Aeno heater has a Wi-Fi interface, and through this, you can also access it from a phone application via the home network. For this we need to download the Aeno app. The application itself is flawless, it also knows Hungarian, it's a bit frustrating that I already have about 10 smart home applications side by side on my phone, but now I needed an 11th one.

According to the manufacturer, the Amazon Alexa and Google assistants can also be used, that is, the devices integrated in the Aeno app can be transferred (connected) to the two smart home applications as well. When I received the device, Google Home was definitely not working yet, but this shortcoming was corrected over time. So it is certain that the heater can be integrated into the Google Home system, but unfortunately we have no other option than to turn it off or on. Hopefully later, at least the control of the temperature will be available from here as well.

Well, that's the bad part of the matter, because, as I wrote, the application itself is excellent. There are a lot of things that can be set, the most important ones are perhaps the child lock, alarms, remote temperature adjustment and scenes. The latter is the point where the operation can be timed and programmed in advance.

I think it is unnecessary to write about the importance of the child lock. No more notifications, because the heater sends a push message in the event of a malfunction, a tip over, or a number of other events. So I think this is a very important function for a heater, at least as important as being able to set the temperature remotely.

In the last paragraph, I should report on the experiences during operation, but there is not much of it. It is certain that the heater will serve me well, because although I originally planned traditional radiator heating for my upstairs office, we ended up staying with the electric solution. The reason for this is the solar panel, which has been producing electricity for us for half a year.

So, in my case, it made no sense to pump hot water from the circo upstairs, I'm much better off with an electric, smart, programmable heating.

The thing is not bad just because of energy saving, since infrared heating in this case can be said to be particularly economical. The room is not big, and you really only need to temper it. In addition, I can program in advance when to switch off and when to start heating again in the morning. Since it is infrared, heating does not take more than 10-15 seconds, so there are no unnecessary idle times. By the time I get to the office it will be pleasantly warm.

Of course, I tried the heater during installation and when testing the application, and I found that it works fine. It works just like an infrared panel. You stand in front of it and it feels like you're standing outside in the sun. It is not the air around you that is warm, but the sun that warms you. This solution is really nice.

What you should pay attention to is that the glass of the heater can heat up normally, so if you don't have to, don't touch it. The manufacturer draws attention to it, if you want to move it away, either hold the leg at the back or wait until the device cools down.

What I found during the short test is that it does not heat towards the back, towards the wall, but not at all, which is actually good, because on the one hand, we are not heating the wall, and on the other hand, the temperature sensor is located on the power cable, the cable is behind the machine, so the sensor measures real room temperature.

Ok, let's summarize!

The Aeno AGH0003S is an extremely beautiful, very efficient and smart heater. Absolutely premium quality both in terms of materials and exterior. It can be mounted on the wall or ceiling. It is available in white and black, I suspect that the black looks great too. Due to the tempered glass surface and the excellent brackets, it can also give an apartment a real premium feel when mounted on the wall.

What you may need to pay attention to is that the manufacturer does not recommend direct connection, preferring the socket, so you must ensure an adequate power supply, since we are talking about a 700-watt heater.

You can buy the Aeno heater in several places, for example in OBI ( white and black in color) and you will find it Euronics in its stores. Its price is between HUF 100-105 thousand, depending on the distributor.
