The first virus has been released for Windows Vista

F-Secure has announced that it has discovered the first instances of the virus that specifically exploit vulnerabilities in the next generation of Windows.

One of the innovations in the operating system, codenamed Longhorn, will be the Microsoft Command Shell (MSH), which will support many more features than the previous Command Line Interpreter. Of course, this flexibility has its drawbacks, as some scripts can perform dangerous operations.

For the time being, the first experiments are only intended to prove that there is a script that replicates and modifies itself.
Since the runtime environment that supports this is not yet ready, it is not yet possible to run it, but rather this fact is of only theoretical significance.
