The LTE-compatible version of Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has been released

The LTE-compatible version of Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has been releasedSamsung has announced an LTE-compatible version of the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 8.9. The main novelty of the model upgrades is high-speed 4G network compatibility, but both devices also received a dual-core 1,5Ghz processor.

LTE technology, which is not yet available in Hungary, enables theoretical download speeds of up to 100Mbps and upload speeds of 50Mbps, which is five times higher than the upload speeds offered by popular HSPA + networks. This means that (in theory) a four-minute MP3 file can be downloaded in 0,3 seconds, but a full movie can be on the devices in as little as two minutes.

Improved connectivity and higher bandwidth offer new opportunities for both content developers and users, and in addition to social games and video conferencing, high-quality media streaming is seamlessly available on devices. “Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE take the user experience to a new level as LTE technology opens up a new dimension in consuming and sharing content. This milestone is a good example of Samsung’s commitment to 4G technology, both in terms of service and consumer solutions, ”said JK Shin, President and CEO of Samsung’s mobile communications business.

The slightly larger 4,5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display delivers stunning visuals, and videos and images taken with the device's 8-megapixel HD camera are also displayed in crystal-clear, vibrant colors. The Galaxy S II also has LTE Social, Game and Music Hubs, but later the Readers Hub will also be available on the phone. The Galaxy S II can be connected to up to eight different devices via LTE WiFi, which means that the files stored on it can be shared quickly and easily with notebooks, tablets or other smartphones.
