This week we also reported that a photo of LG’s novelty has been released, but now the manufacturer has released an official press release to learn more about the mobile. The LG Optimus G will be the first commercially available smartphone to be built on a Snapdragon S320 Pro (APQ4) processor with a quad-core Krait CPU, LTE compatible features and the latest generation Adreno ™ 8064 (GPU) graphics controller.
The Snapdragon S4 Pro uses 1,5 GHz and Asynchronous Symmetric Multiprocessing (aSMP) technology, which allows the cores to operate on or off independently to extend battery life. In addition, the Adreno 320 is more than three times as fast as the Adreno 225 in previous Snapdragon processors, providing a much more enjoyable gaming experience through faster image refresh, easier handling, and support for higher HD images.

Thanks to the LG Display, the LG Optimus G has a 4,7-inch WXGA True HD IPS + display with a 320ppi pixel density (1280 × 768 pixels) and a 15: 9 Stripe RGB IPS panel.

The Japanese version of the LG Optimus G will be the first to be offered by NTT DOCOMO. The international version of the phone will be released in Korea in September and will then be available for purchase worldwide.
