The latter is absolutely necessary for comfortable everyday use, as the amount of built-in memory is limited to only 15 MB.
The device, equipped with a Bluetooth radio and EDGE data transfer option, will be available on store shelves in the second quarter of 2009, in "Dawn Blue" and "Honey Silver" colors.
