A Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro its housing is made entirely of metal, even magnesium alloy, making the new machine much stiffer and much cooler with a balanced cooling system. The machine uses two instead of a single fan, one on the left and one on the right. The airflow can thus increase by 40% compared to single-fan cooling, making the Pro notebook much cooler, but likely to be a bit noisier than its smaller siblings.
At the sides of the display frame, the Xiaomi was able to make a significant reduction, so these edges are now only 6,52 millimeters. True, this width still doesn’t catch up with the Dell XPS 15, but considering the Xiaomi Notebook Air series, the improvement is really drastic.

Xiaomi is proud to compare its notebook to the 2017 version of the Apple MacBook Pro. The notebook is 1,5mm thinner than the MacBook Pro. Xiaomi’s new machine also comes with two Type C ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports, a 3-in-1 card reader, an HDMI port and a 3,5mm audio connector. In terms of connectors, this machine is far better than any other 15,6-inch rival, including the XPS 15, Specter 15, Macbook Pro, or Zenbook.
The new Xiaomi Notebook Air, like the rest of the 2017 notebook series, features a fingerprint reader in the upper right corner of the touchpad.
