New features in the Xiaomi MIUI 12 system - with video!
Xiaomi hasn’t stopped developing its phone interface, which we’ve long believed there’s nothing left to polish on it anymore.
Officially, we already know about some novelties, exactly these:
- MIUI 12 new navigation bars and gestures
- New multitasking service with animations
- New camera user interface
- "Perfect" dark mode
- New notification system
However, improvements go deeper than this, giving us, for example, new tools for analyzing phone usage, as well as making it more convenient to use.

MIUI 12 new display usage analysis
In mobile phones, one of the biggest power consumers is the display, so it doesn’t hurt to keep an eye on when and for how long it’s on. The new analysis will help to optimize the use of the display, as well as provide adjustment options to control the operation of the display. So the point is that we will be able to use our phone more sparingly.
Focus mode
The phone is always at hand, which is good. On the other hand, it is less fortunate to constantly distract us from our other responsibilities. Apps are constantly bombarding us with messages and warnings, fighting for our attention, even when we have important, possibly futures tasks. Focus mode helps you to work calmly and deactivate your phone. The set time is between 20 and 180 minutes, during which time the phone will not interfere with other activities.
Anti-flicker mode
There is so much to say about this, the goal is to spare our eyes. Anti-flicker mode reduces the flicker of the display, making it less tiring for our eyes.
Refresh rate
This feature has been introduced in the latest beta, which of course allows you to adjust the screen refresh rate. It is not quite accurate yet, the function does not work, nor is it certain that it will be included in the final release. Of course, this is also true for all other features, as even at the last minute, apps that seem stable to us can be bypassed, which engineers say can still be a problem.
