The first Toshiba Blu-ray player has arrived

After applying for Toshiba’s inclusion in the BDA (Blu-ray Disc Association) last month, it was only a matter of time before the first player was announced.

Now that’s done, too, making the manufacturer’s entry into the Blu-ray market a real fact. The official presentation of the BDX2000 was at the IFA2009 exhibition in Berlin. The player has full 1080p / 24fps support and also supports the BD-Live 2.0 profile.

The device will arrive on store shelves in November this year, with an expected starting price of $ 250.
