NEC is renewing its range of LCD players

New widescreen models will replace the hugely successful GX2 monitors.

NEC's new AccuSync displays are ready to launch in three sizes, with the main target group being the gaming community, but if they do, they're also perfect for multimedia use. The latter requirements are perfectly met by HDCP support and the presence of HDMI outputs, which are natively present in the 22 and 24 machine classes, while the smallest 19-inch model uses a converter to provide the right digital signal. Another feature of the LCD19WMGX and LCD22WMGX models is the so-called OptiClear Screen Technology, which offers nothing but fuller, clearer colors with increased contrast.

All three monitors have dynamic contrast settings, with a maximum value of 19: 1000 for 1 and 22: 24 for panels 2000 and 1. In order to ensure fast movements and image changes, the response time has been reduced to 5 milliseconds by the manufacturer, while sounds heard in movies and games can even be left to the built-in speakers.

The two smaller models are now available to end users, with stores offering $ 279 and $ 379 price tags if we choose the LCD19WMGX or its 22 sibling. The 24-inch giant follows its peers with a slight delay, with LCD24WMCX monitors set to appear at the end of September at the earliest, with a starting price of $ 549.
