Hungarian world record for Christmas from XtwinZ TeamHungary

Once again, the sons of Hungary achieved outstanding results.

XtwinZ TeamHungary continued to torture the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 processor at their fingertips, setting several world records. The E8400 processor hasn't gone at such a high clock so far, plus it's a Wolfdale record, as the leading E8500 so far has been running at 9 MHz lower. In the category of 45nm processors, the 610MHz FSB speed is also a world record, plus the boys went under the magic 9 seconds under SuperPI.

The following configuration helped the members of the Hungarian team to set the above world records:

  • processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (45 nm, Wolfdale, 6 MB L2)
  • CPU cooling: dry ice
  • memory: 2 × 1 GB Crucial Ballastix 8500
  • video card: ATI Radeon 7000 PCI
  • power supply: PC Power and Cooling 610 W
  • operating system: Windows Server 2003
  • vcpu: 1,86 V / 1,81 V, voltage: 2,5 V, vmch: 1,75 V, vpll: 2,1 V
