More Penryn is expected in the second half of the year

The new series can be displayed with a reduced system bus.

According to TechConnect Magazine, despite the large-scale 45nm dumping at the beginning of the year, Intel wants to launch even more Penryn processors for the summer. With the new central units, the manufacturer would form a new family, presumably given the type designation E7000. The knowledge of the processors in the series would be largely the same as that of the Wolfdale-core E8000 models, with only changes to the system bus and second-level cache. From number 7, it is already conceivable that this time not an increase but a decrease is expected, according to the rumors, the system bus would change to 1066 MHz, while the size of the L2 would change to 3 MB.

The first to appear would be the E7200 family member, whose 2,53 GHz clock would have a suggested retail price of $ 133. The other variants can be launched in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.
