LG Optimus 3D - See the world in 3D

With LG's new device, we can even make 3D videos.

We haven’t heard too much these days about South Korea’s smaller PDA and mobile phone maker, namely LG. While Samsung actually dominates most of the smartphone market, we shouldn’t forget what LG has put on the table. For example, the first Android smartphone with a dual-core CPU, the Optimus 2X, can be linked to their name, as well as a number of mid-range droid PDAs that have placed Android devices in the mid-range in an affordable price range. Now, the smaller Korean manufacturer hasn’t come up with anything: they’ve created the world’s first Android device that can even capture the world in 3D!

Sure, it’s no deception: LG’s engineers thought it was finally time to offer something to the general public and the mobile market that no one had yet been able to accomplish.
The LG Optimus 3D is the first Android-based PDA to feature two parallel-back cameras. These two optics can give us the opportunity to take not only smooth 2D, but even three-dimensional shots with our mobile phone.

Unfortunately, none of the foreign sites have additional specifications, but it is suspected that a dual-core CPU in the device will tick - a megahertz unknown so far - and will support all the features one would expect from a high-end device in 2011.
What’s perhaps most painful is that there was no talk about the possibilities and how to review 3D footage, so unfortunately we don’t even know what glasses are needed to watch “real” video clips. We didn’t even know the actual resolution of the camera and the videos either, although some forums say the Optimus 3D will be able to capture even three-dimensional footage with 720p HD resolution.
We haven’t learned anything for sure about the version number of Android OS either, although it’s more than likely that the newcomer will debut with Android 2.3 (or maybe 2.4?) Gingerbread.

And here’s the 23-second short demo film about the new Android Miracle:

LG promises to learn more about Optimus 3D at the upcoming large-scale MWC conference, and the South Korean manufacturer is likely to learn more about its brand new Internet tablet, G-Slate, which is also blessed with 3D capabilities. to Pull the Shroud at the Event |

The G-Slate, like the Optimus 3D, will have two rear cameras, however, as one video revealed, the finished movie will be converted to 3D by anaglyphic transcoding, meaning we will need to put on cyan-red glasses to achieve the right effect.
What we’ve also learned about the new tablet is that it will uniquely feature a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and an 8.9-inch capacitive display will provide a “mirror” of the device. Each of the rear cameras will have a resolution of 5 megapixels, and we will be able to record movies in full HD quality up to 1080p with the Tablet! The G-Slate operating system will be Android 3.0 Honeycomb written for direct tablets.

Of course, the 3D function can be turned off for both devices. Whether Optimus 3D, like G-Slate, will apply anaglyphic conversion to the right 3D visual is still obscure, but presumably we’ll learn a lot more about the two Android Wonders at this year’s 2011 MWC .

And finally, let’s watch a short introductory video about LG’s new Tablet, the G-Slate:
