The 26 GHz tender has been closed
The sale of the 26 GHz frequency band has been legally concluded. Winners must pay the frequency block fee within fifteen days of the decision becoming final.
NMHH launched a tender on November 26, 2011 for the right to use the frequency of the basic blocks of the 7 GHz frequency band. Telenor Magyarország Zrt., Magyar Telekom Nyrt., GTS Hungary Távközlési Kft., Magyar Villamos Művek Zrt. And Vodafone Magyarország Zrt. Submitted a valid tender for the sale. The duration of the eligibility was fifteen years from the date on which the decision became final. A candidate could bid for up to 6 basic blocks.
In assessing the bids, the Authority took into account four main aspects: the recommended bid fee, the bidder's business plan and background, and the extent to which the bids serve the purposes of more efficient spectrum management. The results of the competition are shown in the picture below:
The obtained frequency blocks can be used for the establishment and operation of access systems (direct service of end-user stations), radio relay networks, as well as an internal operational network serving mobile communication base stations.
