Cheap Coffee Lake CPUs are imminent
The eighth-generation Core processor family is now traveling for low-end users - in our opinion, with the current motherboards, there will be little chance of success.
A PROVANTAGE web store has expanded its offerings with a number of new models, which clearly indicates that retailers may soon officially start selling. The site in question revealed the following Coffee Lake series processors:
- Core i5-8600
- Core i5-8500
- Core i3-8300
- Pentium Gold G5600
- Pentium Gold G5500
- Celeron G4920
- Celeron G4920
First, let’s get acquainted with CPUs that offer higher performance.
The Core i3-8300 is quad-core, bypasses Hyper-Threading support, includes 8 MB of L3 cache, and is multiplier-locked. We expect the processor to come in a box of around $ 139-149. The Pentium Gold series also continues the previous scheme (2 cores and 4 logical threads), but the clocks are wrapped very nicely.
To our greatest grief, Celeron is still unfamiliar with Hyper-Threading, so these products will require careful consideration of the challenges we face. The price tag will hopefully forget this problem.
