Kukirin V1 Pro has become quite special for several reasons.

Kukirin V1 Pro – stylish, cheap bike for the price of a scooter

Kugoo seems to want to open a new chapter in its life by changing the name from Kugoo Kirin to KuKirin. Even the most recently tested KuKirin scooter turned out really well (so well that my beloved Laotie scooter has to go), now here is a bike that is small, cute, has a very unique look and the price, hold on now, is only HUF 198 . This is specifically the price of a medium scooter, for which you can now buy a bike.

Of course, there are one or two moments that make us pull our teeth, but I don't think it's worth it, I'll tell you why. Kukirin V1 Pro is a typical city bike. It is perfect for taking to work, shopping, and similar tasks. The tires are thin, so you can go comfortably without electric assistance, you only need to switch on the power if you want to accelerate faster or need a little help going up a hill.

The performance of the motor is quite good, as it can produce 350 watts, the manufacturer even puts it in the parentheses as peak 750 W, but I wouldn't worry too much about that. Let's stick with 350 and we'll be satisfied, especially since it has a normal torque of 35 Nm. As for the battery, it only has a capacity of 7,5 Ah. This also shows that this bike is not designed to cover long kilometers with pure electric drive. However, it is a strong positive that the manufacturer's website states a weight of 21 kilograms, which is again not a typical weight for electric bicycles, rather scooters tend to have this weight.

It is also interesting that, like traditional running bikes, it does not have a gearbox. This lack of gear could also be a negative, but in many cases it is completely unnecessary. Just look at my last bike test with the ADO Air, it's a premium bike that doesn't even have a derailleur, and in my opinion it doesn't need one. However, the ADO, like the KuKirin, has a torque sensor, so a relatively long range is available even with a relatively small battery capacity. In the case of KuKirin, the manufacturer specifies 45 kilometers.

What is gratifying is that it has a luggage rack from the factory, not only at the back, but also at the front. What's more, we also find a small basket in front, so this also shows that it will be perfect for running away, e.g. to the market. All in all, I think it's a very well-rounded and, above all, a bike that fills a gap. It knows just enough, it has just enough capabilities, which are sufficient for comfortable city traffic, and with the electric drive they only added a "little" extra to the package. For 200, we get an electric drive, two disc brakes plus an electric brake, luggage racks and, as an added bonus, a very cute shape.
