NVIDIA is asking for nearly 1 million for this video card!

NVIDIA also officially announced yesterday that they will soon launch their new top predator, named TITAN RTX. Fans probably won’t have to brush up on the card’s capabilities, as the TITAN series has always been synonymous with cutting-edge technology, the maximum currently available. It’s no different now, the Turing-based graphics card offers the full reality of the GT102 graphics chip, which can do brutal things without exaggeration:

  • 576 Turing Tensor kernels;
  • 72 Turing RT (RayTracing) accelerator;
  • 24 GB GDDR6 VRAM, theoretical bandwidth 672 GB / s (384 bits at 14,0 GHz);
  • 4 CUDA processors (608 multiprocessors), 72 texturing and 288 rasterizing;
  • 100 GB / s NVIDIA NVLink - can be important for multi-card systems;
  • The default GPU clock is 1 MHz and the Boost is 350 MHz.

While saliva is sure to flow in the mouths of most gamers now, we’re going to saddle everyone now that TITAN RTX’s field is primarily for machine learning, not PC games. The 280-watt TDP might not even be so scary - the paired 8-pin power connector isn't exactly a friendly sight - the main concern is the price, which is exactly two and a half times higher than the first model in the series (NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN (Kepler)). NVIDIA is specifically asking for $ 2 for the newcomer, which is equivalent to more than 499 forints at the current exchange rate (plus good Hungarian VAT)!
