Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note have received environmental certification

Samsung’s two high-end smartphones with Android operating systems, the GALAXY S II and the GALAXY Note, have been certified for their ecological footprint.

The certificate issued by the Carbon Trust certifies that the devices meet the requirements of the global environmental standard PAS 2050.
The certificate examines the environmental impact of not only the production of the product, but also its entire life cycle, in accordance with the requirements of the PAS 2050 standard. The company’s environmental strategy, known as Samsung Green Management, is Planet First initiative part of. Since its inception, the company has developed a number of innovative solutions to make its products more environmentally friendly, including a review of the manufacturing process and decommissioning of its devices.
