Classic notebook from MSI

In addition to netbooks, nettops and other claimants to the throne, MSI will not forget the market for cheap notebooks.

The model called the VX600 is expected to be a great success in Hungary as well, as it has all the capabilities that can be expected from an entry-level laptop in 2009. The soul of the device is Intel’s highly proven Core 2 Duo processor, which in this case can serve with up to 4GB of DDR2 memory. The 1280-inch display, capable of displaying 800 × 15,4 pixels, is powered by an ATI Mobility Radeon HD3410 GPU, which, despite its modest performance, may be suitable for running games a few years old. In addition to the 320 GB hard drive, the data is stored on an optical drive that can handle dual-layer DVDs. The novelty with an optional six- or nine-cell battery highlights the issue of uptime, for which the software background is provided by the manufacturer's own solution called ECO Engine Power Management System: the program includes five predefined schemes for machine performance and closely related to control its consumption.
