ASUS has officially introduced the Eee PC 1025 Flare family, which, based on Intel Atom Cedar Trail processors, offers us a very good alternative when we think of a “netbook”.

The new Eee PC 1025 line comes with a completely redesigned design, and this has strongly affected not only the exterior but also the interior. Going from the outside in, let’s first look at what has changed at first glance. For those who have an important aspect to stand out with their laptop from the gray or dark field, the good news is that we can choose from 11 different colors when ordering (including pink, blue, purple and so on).

In addition, the devices have been given a metallic surface treatment, which allows them to decorate our desk quite elegantly. This “shiny” look is complemented by chrome inserts placed on the side. After the external changes, let's see how shiny the overall picture of the parts under the metallic casing shines.

As already mentioned, the Eee PC 1025 has got Intel Atom Cedar Trail processors (2 cores, 1,8 GHz per core clock) with up to four times more graphics performance than before. In addition, it does not incidentally be smarter about the energy provided by the battery. The size of the system memory is always 2 gigabytes, but the space available for our data can be up to 500 GB, in addition to which we also get 3 gigabytes of cloud-based storage space from ASUS. This configuration also handles Full HD and Blu-Ray video playback.

One of the special features that sets the Eee PC 1025 out of the box is the “Instant On” feature of the ASUS Super Hybrid Engine II. This allows the system to wake up from sleep mode in just 2 seconds. And if that wasn’t enough, we could even add that even as part of this technology, netbooks can vomit up to 21 days on standby, and ASUS has given 12 hours of uptime when used normally, which is again just a strong plus.

In addition to its vigilance, their network functions also come a little amplified. In addition to Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11b / g / n Wi-F, Wi-Fi Direct is included. This allows us to establish a direct wireless data transfer between the Eee PC 1025 and another device (without going through that network maze)
