The Swiss tuning community Ocaholic.ch has once again broken two new world records with one of the fastest dual-channel memory kits available on the market, the Kingston HyperX.

The two new clock peaks with RAM modules were set up on 2011 October 20 by two Swiss tuners, Roger Tanner (“splmann”) and Marc Voser (“Besi”) at the IM.TOP event in Lucerne, Switzerland. internal trade fair.

The two computers obsessed managed to reach 6 MHz for CAS 3095 (Column Address Strobe Latency) and 8 MHz for CAS 3175. These results represent the highest speed that memory has ever achieved using CAS 6 and CAS 8. Ocaholic tuners integrated the memory sockets into an aluminum and copper cooler, and the memory modules were cooled with liquid nitrogen at -196 ° C to achieve peak-speed clock signals.

“The essence of tuning is that there is an active community around the world that is trying to operate computer parts at a significantly higher clock than that specified by the manufacturers. Our community has gained a reputation for tuning memory modules the most. We are very proud to have broken the world record for CL7 modules set by our French colleagues Benjamin Bouix (Benji Tshi) and Jean-Baptiste Gerard in August. At the same time, we are excited about the reactions of the tuning community, ”said Marc Büchel, founder and editor-in-chief of Ocaholic.ch and organizer of tuning events in Switzerland.
