Ivy Bridge E may be late

Intel can ramp down the high-end desktop processor market (too) without interruption, so they’re not forced to switch quickly.Intel Core_i7_txt300 Fujilla has announced that the Core i7 3970X could still reign for a very long time because the Ivy Bridge E CPUs are not expected to start until the fourth quarter. According to the original plan, we could have encountered the new “monsters” as early as Q3, just a few months after Haswell-based processors. If Intel continues to update at this pace, we still have a long way to go before Haswell E is released.
