Eco-friendly desktops have been unveiled by Dell

Dell's latest computer series meets the Energy Star 4.0 environmental standards established by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.

Computers that meet the Energy Star 4.0 requirements, which went into effect at the end of July, must consume 4 watts per hour in standby mode, only 2 watts in off mode, and the power supply must be more than 80% efficient.

The OptiPlex 755 PCs, of course, meet all of these expectations, with the key components of the three configurations available on the top model being the Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 processor, 4GB of DDR2 memory, ATI Radeon HD 2400XT 256MB video card and 250GB of capacity SATA hard drive.
