Pictures of the Motorola Droid

Not much is known about the interesting name yet, but based on the pictures as well as the leaked information, it seems that Motorola is finally coming up with a device that could achieve serious market success.

This time, the heart of the Droid, which also has a large, laid-back row of buttons, rolls off the Texas Instruments production line: in addition to the raw performance of the OMAP 3430 unit, it is also known for its rich functionality. Despite the physical keypad, the device’s primary input is a huge display that also supports multi-finger operation. The exact dimensions and resolution of the panel have not yet been stated by the manufacturer, but the device is expected to bring the level of its competitors in this area as well.

As for the software running on the device, we will certainly not be disappointed with Motorola engineers, as this time the second revision of Google Android has been implemented in the device. The lucky initiates are already singing about the usability of the operating system, so we don't expect to face any annoying shortcomings while using the Droid.
