NVIDIA has generated significant price reductions

The pricing of the Radeon HD 7900 series cards has hardly changed for months after its release. The explanation is very simple: AMD took advantage of the unique technical implementations of the products at the time. The situation changed significantly when the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 Series debuted. The Radeon HD 7970’s € 500 price dropped to 480 in a few days. As the GeForce GTX 680 still seemed like a more hit offer, the company (and partners) gradually positioned the card at 450, 430, 410, and below.

The Radeon HD 7950 ran a career similar to its big brother. The starting level here was around € 400 and then it dropped to step 355. Nowadays, a copy is available for as little as € 327, but due to the release of the GeForce GTX 670, further adjustments may be needed. 

Overall, even AMD fans should look forward to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 600 Series.
