giada a51_02The label "home entertainment and gaming center" might seem a bit strong from the manufacturer, but the fact is that the AMD E-51 and E-450 APUs used in the A300 really have an advanced IGP. Although these graphics processors do not have explosive performance, they support all manufacturer-independent APIs (DirectCompute 5.0, OpenGL 4.2, OpenCL 1.1, OpenGL ES 2.0.), and the UVD 3.0 engine supports H.264/AVC, MPEG-2/ 4, in addition to VC-1, DivX/Xvid and Flash H.264 videos, it also handles VP8 content. Blessed with dimensions of 192 x 155 x 26 mm, the Giada A51 includes 2 GB of DDR3 system memory (expandable to 4 GB) and a 320 GB hard disk drive. The range is enriched by Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and a card reader (SD/MMC/MS/MS PRO), but the small machine also has four USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port, as well as D-Sub and HDMI output. It is very nice that the consumption remains below 30 watts and the noise emission does not exceed 26 decibels.

In the package, of course, you will find the adapter and power cord you need for operation, as well as an HDMI cable and a wireless controller in the box - an optional VESA monitor mount is also available. The nettop is available in black and white. The Giada A51 is now available for purchase in a German store for € 307.
