More power supplies are coming from the Corsair workshop

With the arrival of the novelties, the HX series is gaining weight.

Combining the company’s modular power supplies, the HX series has so far had four members, but thanks to the soon-to-be-launched 750 and 850 W models, the gap between the HX450, HX520, HX620 and HX1000 will finally be filled, at least as far as product performance is concerned.

The 150 mm × 86 mm × 180 mm power supplies comply with ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V 2.91, and their efficiency can reach 90% and in all cases above 80 percent. The capacitors used in their case retain their integrity even at a temperature of 105 degrees Celsius, but this extreme load is out of the question thanks to the work of the 14 cm double-ball bearing fan, which changes its speed depending on how hot the inside of the PSU is.

Both the HX750 and HX850 have only one + 12V branch, which can be loaded with up to 62 A for the former and 70 A for the latter. The MTBF of power supplies with a 7-year warranty, ie the time before failure, is estimated by Corsair at 100 operating hours, and the purchase price is set at £ 120 and £ 140, respectively.
